Honey Lee Reveals Hiding Her Pregnancy During Intense Filming, Even Doing Stunt Scenes

On the March 3 broadcast of Channel A’s “Table for 4,” featured veteran actress Kang Bu-ja, who was joined by her close friends Yoon Yoo-sun, Cho Woo-jong, actress Honey Lee shared that she hid her pregnancy during filming.

As a mother raising a 32-month-old daughter, Honey Lee shared, “I’ve been watching my niece grow, and I think kids between ages three and six are the cutest. It’s a shame that I haven’t been able to watch my own child grow up because of work.”
Yoon Yoo-sun expressed her surprise, saying, “Lee Honey’s daughter is still very young, but she calls her ‘Mother.’” Honey Lee explained, “Sometimes I use the term ‘Mother’ myself, and my younger brother also uses it. So my daughter calls me ‘Mother,’ and I love hearing it.”

She added, “One day, while playing, my daughter said, ‘Mother, I feel so dizzy.’ It was so endearing to hear such a little child speak like that.”
Kang Bu-ja related to this and shared, “When my son was just one year old, he could already say anything. At that time, he told me, ‘Mother, go and get some rest.’”
Honey Lee also discussed her pregnancy while filming in 2021, admitting she couldn’t disclose it as the drama was still airing. “Since the drama was still airing, I couldn’t say that I was pregnant,” she confessed, adding that she even performed intense wire action scenes during the early stages of her pregnancy.
Kang Bu-ja playfully commented, “Your daughter must be great at kicking! Babies learn from the experiences they have in the womb.” Lee Honey laughed and responded, “She really doesn’t stay still for even a moment.”

Honey Lee also shared the challenges of her childbirth experience, saying, “I thought I would have an easy delivery, but it actually took 37 hours. My husband was by my side, cheering me on the whole time. I wanted my baby to hear her father’s heartbeat first as soon as she was born.” Recalling a humorous moment during labor, she said, “I even went shopping while I was in labor. Looking back, people told me it was a reckless thing to do. But at the time, I didn’t know any better. Since I was already in pain just sitting still, I thought I might as well go out and do something.”
Honey Lee’s candid reflections on motherhood, pregnancy, and the challenges she faced during filming and childbirth offer a heartfelt glimpse into her personal journey, showcasing the strength and resilience that define her as both a mother and an actress.
